Part-time Sales Associate – Port Elgin ReStore

We are currently accepting applications for two part-time Sales Associates in Port Elgin (up to 32 hours a week).

Position Profile

Provide outstanding Customer Service as defined by:
- Friendly greeting; responding politely to questions; assisting with customer’s purchases
Assist with unloading, processing and the display of products
Process customers’ orders (cash, debit/credit) following cash register procedures
Assist with keeping the store safe, clean and orderly
Reflect a positive image of the organization

Desired Qualifications

Social, positive, energetic, and reliable
Capable of working as part of a team
Effective communication skills
Minimum 1 year experience in retail customer service or related experience
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle products of various shape, size and weight
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Available weekends
Knowledge of home repairs, building materials and tools an asset

The Opportunity

Support the ReStore Manager with supervising, training, and leading ReStore staff and volunteers
Supervise all retail operations including store merchandising, stock control etc.
Deliver exceptional customer service to our customers, donors, and volunteers
Advocate for Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce and model our values and guiding principles

What You Bring

1-3 years of customer service or retail experience
Experience leading or working with volunteers a strong asset
Provide outstanding Customer Service as defined by:
- Friendly greeting; responding politely to questions; assisting with customer’s purchases
Process customers’ orders (cash, debit/credit) following cash register procedures
Social, positive, energetic, and reliable
Leadership skills in a team environment, Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to operate computer including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Knowledge of home repairs, building materials and tools an asset

High School diploma
Excellent communication skills
Minimum 1 year experience in retail customer service or related experience
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle products of various shape, size and weight
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Available weekends
Knowledge of home repairs, building materials and tools an asset
Valid full G Class Driver’s license; D class an asset
